THE WHAT? Avon could be poised to expand its physical retail presence in the UK. The direct sales firm is said to be considering further franchise stores as well as expanding its current partnership with Superdrug.
THE DETAILS According to a report published by the Retail Gazette, quoting Retail Week, CEO Kristof Neirynck has revealed that Avon is planning to open standalone shops throughout the UK, which would be operated by Avon reps on a franchise model.
THE WHY? Neirynck told Retail Week that the move was part of a wider strategic review, Avon’s goal is to be sold via 2,300 physical stores worldwide by the year-end.
