Rituals makes Japan debut; cuts ribbon on flagship store

THE WHAT? Rituals is celebrating its official launch onto the Japanese market in partnership with distributor Bluebell Japan. The Dutch bath and body brand landed in this key Asian market with a splash, opening a flagship store in Tokyo’s upscale Aoyama district.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by Fashion Network, the 78-square meter space is decorated in the Amsterdam collection’s signature blue and white, and houses the brand’s Classic, Private and Amsterdam collections.

THE WHY? Raymond Cloosterman, Founder and CEO of Rituals, told Fashion Network, “This expansion into Japan is a significant milestone for us, especially because Japan inspired me from the very beginning when I founded the brand. Opening here, feels like we’ve come full circle.“Asia has always been a key part of our global vision at Rituals, and we’re thrilled to have established a presence in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, China and now Japan. We have achieved substantial success in Europe while in East Asia, particularly Japan presents a compelling market opportunity. This region boasts fast-growing, diverse, and vibrant beauty and personal care industries.”
